History:
Boom Thrashapple was born in the Labyrinth and his childhood was marked with wanderlust and extreme curiosity. He's explored a large part of the labyrinth over the years and has picked up a large number of stories and a few names. One, however, has proven to be a problem. "Godleau". Ever since he took this name off one of the Black Tramsmen he's been having headaches and odd dreams, which sometimes spill into his waking thoughts. A recurring image is a massive bird made out of stitched off-white cloth.
Boom works as a freefall artist, a hazardous, obscure, and just plain weird occupation. He goes to the edge of one of the islands, grabs a pencil and some scrolls of paper, ties off a rope, and jumps off, sketching madly as he falls. Boom has a theory that since stories are power, and a picture is worth a thousand words, than a good picture could be used for magic. He hasn't been able to get any real results however. Nevertheless, he's come up with hundreds of pictures of the odd animals and things found off the edge. The last couple of times he's done this, Boom has heard half-voices in the wind, promising things. They probably don't even exist, atmost being more weird dreams, although the last couple of pictures have been... interesting.
Personality:
Boom's an idealist, although his ideals are hard to define. He's outgoing and extremely curious, although lately his manner has been more tired. Odd things are starting to happen around him. Enemies are getting sick, certain animals won't leave him alone, and sometimes he can't remember where he's been. This both excites and worries him, making him cautious.
Appearance:
Boom tends to wear simple clothes. He has a special harness, goggles, and apparatus for freefall artistry. While he's not dirty, he's often too busy to pay attention to fashion. Because of this he has a scraggly beard and his socks often don't match.
In-Play:
In terms of 4E, Boom is a human feypact warlock. The voices that occasionally hears on the wind are his 'patrons'. He channels his powers through his artwork. He hasn't made a contractual pact, instead the voices are influencing his work for their own enjoyment. Later he might make real contact with the voices, but for now he isn't really aware.
His eldritch blast is an invisible burst of energy. Anyone hit by it appears to have random scribbles drawn on their faces. When he teleports it looks like he folds vertically into himself, like paper.
