Forum Roleplaying... with rules and dice!

(Hi, I'm known as Zartes on the RPG.net forums, by the way)

Ok, probably not everybody's cup of tea, but I thought I might throw the option out there for those folks who might like to play in Nifflas, but can't muster up the verbosity* usually inherent in freeform play-by-post RPGs. However, with a simple, streamlined system, like Risus, or Wushu its possibly to play a more tabletop-like game on a forum, while still being fast paced and fun.

I volunteer to run a Nifflas game with one of the above systems if anybody is interested in playing.


*not trying to insult anybody with this. I think pbem role-playing is grand... I just don't have the patience to narrate more than about a paragraph of stuff at a time, personally.

That sounds like it could work. Would you be running it on this forum, or somewhere else? If here, I could make a separate forum for you.

Well, it's not that much trouble. And a new forum might help to generate some interest.

Not that I am aware of. I was sort of assuming we'd go on trust, or else I (the Gm) would roll all the dice
